Marvel Adds ‘Agatha All Along’ Ten Hour Ambience Loop to YouTube

While Marvel does not do a ton with their YouTube presence you can still find trailers, promotional material, and their official podcast that takes deep dives into specific topics of interest. Now, they’re trying something new by adding a ten hour ambience loop from their hit Disney+ show, Agatha All Along.

The new video is titled, “Witches Road Beach House” and features ambient music and sounds that are reminiscent of the show while also providing a relaxing environment for the listener. Marvel is not the first do to this as you can find ambient music videos for many franchises including Harry Potter, classic Disney movies, and retro video gaming. Most are fan made, so finding an official ambient loop like this from the actual creators of the franchise is rare. People use this kind of entertainment to study, or to read, because it’s not very complex music that doesn’t have lyrics so it’s thought to promote a more streamline thought process.

I’m no scientist, but I felt more relaxed after listening.

I’m not saying we should be turning every action packed Marvel movie into an ambient noise loop, as I don’t think many of us will be falling asleep to Iron Man suiting up or the Hulk smashing stuff, but for the right properties this idea could be a great marketing strategy. And a property like Agatha All Along that already used its tonal ambience to help define itself as a series is a great way to test the waters.

Agatha All Along is a series on Disney+ that followed up WandaVision, starring Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha who was the antagonist in the original series. Both shows are said to eventually be leading up to a third series, VisionQuest. Make sure to check out the ambient music video here and keep your eyes peeled for news on VisionQuest and the other shows coming to Disney+. Do you want to see Marvel turn any of their other properties into an ambient music loop? What do you think they should do next? Make sure to sound off your opinions on our social media!
